Genki Project derives its name from the Japanese word “genki” 元気 meaning health, well-being and vitality.

Genki Project is a boutique fitness and athletic performance centre for all levels of fitness.

At Genki Project you will find group training and one-on-one performance coaching in a friendly, fun and supportive environment.

Your training will include contemporary methods such as functional training and high intensity interval training (HIIT), blended with martial arts techniques and philosophy, presented in a safe, enjoyable and relaxed format.

ABOUT EVA

The founder of Genki Project, Eva Sklavos, is passionate about helping you uncover your potential and bring about positive change and better performance in your life through better movement and enjoyable training.

Eva is an accomplished martial artist and martial arts coach whose training, competition and coaching experience spans over 15 years.  During several years in that period Eva gained concurrent experience in more than one style (currently Kyokushin Karate, previously also Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling and Wing Chun Kung Fu).

Having competed and placed first or in the top three in numerous tournaments, and having graded for and attained several advanced-level martial arts grades over the years, Eva understands the process of setting, working towards and achieving athletic and personal goals and overcoming obstacles along the way.

Eva’s martial arts graded achievements include Second Dan Black Belt in Kyokushin Karate, Gold Belt in Wing Chun Kung Fu and Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Having worked 16 years as a lawyer, and being a mum of two young children, Eva understands the pressures on professionals, and parents, and the importance of maintaining an active lifestyle for personal well-being and optimal performance.

Eva combines her knowledge of the martial arts with her passion for functional training, strength training and high intensity interval training to create fun and varied classes and programs which ensure you will burn fat and tone up, improve strength and athletic performance and gain skills which can be applied to other areas of life.

Eva’s love for better movement and intense thirst for knowledge led her to formalise her extensive coaching experience by pursuing and attaining formal fitness qualifications.

And so, Genki Project was born.
